Kimberly Salter, M.Ed. has 20 years of experience supporting schools in California and Michigan as a teacher, administrator, and educational consultant. Kimberly has taught, coached, and mentored teachers at various levels, as well as guided and facilitated school-wide professional development. In addition, she helped develop data-driven instructional programs.
While in California, Kimberly taught various grade levels. Later as an administrator, she was instrumental in creating pacing calendars, subject specific mini assessments, and coaching colleagues with data. With the use of data driven instruction, Kimberly was responsible for guiding teachers, conducting professional development, and impacting instruction daily. Her experiences with data, curriculum, working collaboratively with instructional teams, and coaching individual teachers have proved to directly impact school culture and climate.
In Michigan, Kimberly worked as an instructional specialist for schools, a consultant for MAPSA, and currently is an independent educational consultant. In her work with MAPSA, Kimberly conducted Focused Lens Reviews to support schools in evaluating strengths and challenges of their programs. In addition, Kimberly was a coach for MAPSA’s Aspiring Leaders and Leadership programs, in which she provided her expertise and resources to enhance TEAMS Schools. Recently, Kimberly’s collaborative and focused works with instructional teams and individual teachers on coaching, curriculum, and instruction have positively and directly impacted school achievement, culture, and climate at several Metro-Detroit charter schools.
Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and her Masters of Education degree, along with her teaching and administrative credentials, from California State University, Fresno.
Kimberly holds valid teaching and administrative credentials in California and Michigan.
Kimberly is currently an independent educational consultant and is also the founder of Salter Education Solutions.
